Reviewer Comments:
Morbid Myths Volume One is an anthology of disturbingly twisted stories that focus on artifacts related to supernatural events. The collector of said items is a creature that goes by the name of Job (pronounced Jobe) and has a twisted on look of the everyday lives we lead. The stories are brought to us in the classic story telling form by the host, Job, which is very similar to the classic Tales from the Crypt Keeper. (which I love) This particular volume focuses on 9 tales that stretch anywhere from simple short stories, to deeper stories that make you ask those little questions that sometimes keep you up at night.
So what do I think about this volume? Well there are stories I like, and stories I don’t much care for. All in all though the majority of the stories are good. :D I even saw a few that were completely original and have already been adopted as my favorites. (What’s in the box?) The stories though no matter what have a good flow to them, in both dialogue and characters. Some of the shorter ones don’t give you much to relate to, but will at least give you a good chuckle. The artwork is simple, but still perfect for the story at hand, dark and imaginative. All in all the book earns its title and has the potential of bringing back a classic form of telling the more imaginative or terrifying stories we all love.
