Reviewer Comments:
Yeah, it’s official. These FALL OF CTHULU series have gotten me hooked. I am totally in love with the character of Luci Jennifer Inacio Des Neves, AKA Lucifer. And the cruel mistress of the Dream Lands, The Harlot, has grown on me as well. The pacing of this story was extremely well done. Writer, Michael Alan Nelson, took on the always challenging task of setting up a new story, picking up the pieces that came before it, tying them together, moving them along, AND making the whole thing accessible to first time readers. Well, folks, I’m here to tell you he pulled it off. At this point I’ve read everything fromm the FALL OF CTHULU line, and if there was something in here that you didn’t get, I can assure, neither did I. Nelson hooks you in from the first silent page, an impressive feat in itself, and keeps you with him ‘til the end, where all hell breaks loose. Literally. Flaming plague frogs people! The coolest looking things ever! Plus, very economical, why waste time on two separate plagues (raining fire, raining frogs) when you can rain fiery frogs in half the time!? Brilliant!
Also, I have to commend the art here. Mateus Santoluoco does a bang up job. His art has the crisp clean lines that flow so smoothly the characters seem to move on the page. A style that is reminiscent of Chris Sprouse and Mike Oeming, with just a touch of old school AKIRA style manga when the characters get angry. And to complete the effect, Eduardo Medeiros’ coloring is magnificent. He really complements the artwork and just makes everything “pop”.

Let the God War commence!
