I just got done seeing the movie I AM LEGEND. First there was a preview of THE DARK KNIGHT...and I gotta say, I was afraid I might be disappointed by Nolan's treatment of the Joker...the guy used friggin makeup for cripes sake!!
And we all know Joker's face is NOT makeup. Plus, I was expecting something MORE, MORE, MORE , mind blowing regarding the return of the Joker to the franchise. Instead I get this.
I hope (& am guessing ) that the actual movie gives us suprises, such as (I predict) that the "Joker" starts out as some anonymous psycho who uses makeup, but then gets chased by Batman, and falls into a vat of chemicals that permanently makes his face the way we know it.
Now......regarding the I AM LEGEND movie: There was a scene in Times Square that had a movie billboard that showed a broken Batman logo behind a broken Superman logo.
Hmmmm....is that an allusion to an up and coming Batman/Superman flick???!

I have also heard about the superman batman poster, which in the movie is set in 2009 when the crisis happens, even though i think the movie takes place in 2012, so that would mean that the posters were for a movie either in 2009 or coming soon to 2010. Hmmm!! Very interesting, although personally i really wish they would leave Superman to himself, Batman to himself, and the new Justice League movie to themselves. If they did this, we could get a new movie from each franchise every year. Batman in 2008, Supes in 2009, and JLA in 2010, Batman in 2011, you get the picture. Also, check out the links below if you don't mind spoilers about TDK!
IF YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT SPOILERS CHECK THESE TWO LINKS OUT IN THE FOLLOWING ORDER.

This is a detailed report of the Dark Knight Prologue screening with I Am Legend in IMAX theaters. After you have read that if you want to see a not so great, rather crappy video of the Dark Knight Prologue that you can only see about 1/2 the screen, go to this link. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU READ THE MTVNEWS REVIEW IN FULL FIRST SINCE THE DIALOGUE IN THE YOUTUBE VIDEO IS SO BAD AND YOU REALLY CAN'T SEE ALOT OF WHAT IS GOING ON, BUT IF YOU WANT TO SEE IT, THEN THAT IS WHERE YOU CAN CHECK IT OUT AT LEAST FOR NOW. THANKFULLY SOMEONE DISGUISED THE CLIP AS SAFARI SOMETHING OR OTHER SO IT SHOULD STAY UP FOR AT LEAST A DAY OR TWO!

My only concern is that the Joker will end up not being permawhite which will damage the likeability of him greatly.
It doesn't have to be an acid bath, but he needs to be permanantly disformed. If its just his face white - fine. He can not, however, just be some guy wearing make up. If he does, Nolan has missed the mark.

He may not be permawhite, but he's scarred with that smile. I don't know if that makes a difference, but he's not just clown makeup; the smile is really there, you know?

Nope. Someone (Caine, Oldman?) said that he never re applies the make up and by the end it looks like a skin dissease. So no, I don't think he falls in any chemicals, and I for one really dig that. I think the chemicals are retarded. it doesn't make any sense that he's come out looking like a clown. There's no clown chemical. Nuff said.
