This story arc is great. I like the fact that the Guardians seem scared of those blue Oan offshoots who have the star sapphire/power of love rings deal. And Guy Garder was cracking me up as usual! He was told to speak only when spoken to (along with the rest of the lanterns there) and I think he was talking more than the Guardians were! LOL

Can't wait to see how this arc develops.

I'm still waiting for Guy's crowning moment. AFter all, Johns showed that in the future, Guy Gardner is considered the greatest Green Lantern who ever lived (in the new Booster Gold series).

Scar, the female Guardian with the...uhm....scar, is one seriously messed up chick!

Where's Major Force and a Frdge when you need him?

When did we get female Guardians anyway? Last I remember, it was revealed (I think in Millennium) that the Zamorans WERE the female Guardians!?

I was wondering about that, when that Queen chick said something about them leaving Oa. So those Star Sapphire people are female guardians? Why are they so dag blasted tall? LOL

In the previous big Star Sapphire story, i think, they explained how those Zamorans were originally part of the guardians but defected because they felt that emotion/love was more important than will power. I think this was at the very beginning of when the spectrum was being defined.

But yeah, they were the female guardians-- which makes little to no sense as to why they became tall-- Or explain why there is suddenly female guardians among the guardians.

NOR does it make any sense that, them being immortal and all, why there would even be a NEED males and females. Right?

I guess I'm just an old dog, I liked it when the guardians were all carbon copies of one another-- but hey... I'm not really complaining... GL and GLC is kicking ass right now, and that's what counts!

I don't like how powerful the Blue Lanterns are, it was a little over the top. I do like that Mongul is a yellow lantern that makes me want to keep reading just for that.

Did I miss something? I don't remember the Blue Lanterns being any more powerful than any of the rest of them??

Dude... they were flying past that sun that was going to explode or whatever (okay its actually been a while since i read the ish) and Hal's like "Let's mobilize and get these people out of here and save them yadda yadda" and the blue lanterns were like "nah, lets keep going?" and Hal says, "We can't leave these people here, the sun is going to explode" and the blue lanten says "no its not"

Like that.

Stopped a sun from exploding (or dying or whatever the hell was happening)

crazy.

And yep. Mongol has risen to a pretty badass position in the SC.

The blue Lantern didn't just stop the sun from blowing up he kind of reversed time for it made it a younger sun. read the issue again and you'll see that they are really powerful it's almost too powerful if you ask me.

oh yes... now I remember.

I got that one about a month or even more ago.

I think their deal is they seem super benevolent and good, its going to be to a fault (IE - Their interest in Sinestro) - the amount of power that they have... will only amplify the situation when it goes sour...

I see something interesting happening there.

BTW - I thought this Black Lantern story line was going to be, a green lantern story, but it seems like they're working on a super mega crossover...

hrm...

I wish to see more of the Star Sapphires.... and I wish to have a ring like theirs lol

My husband and brother in law have sterling silver and green rings they wear all the time. I want to be in on it all too! lol

Or, a legion flight ring >_> hehe

I'm kinda diggin' the Blue Lanterns. They are pretty cool, in a chillaxed, zen, optimistic sorta way.

My birthstone is emerald, so my High School ring had a big green stone in it. I used to recite the oath if I thought no one was listening.

Sadly, if the rings were real, I'd probably be a RED LANTERN. Maybe an ORNAGE LANTERN. I Do like to horde things, after all. :D

Anything been seen about the Indigo Lanterns, yet? I don't remember my husband ever mentioning having read about them.

When they first fully brought up the concept of the emotional spectrum outside of Yellow and Green, they mentioned that Indigo was for Compassion. That's about all I know about that.

After talking about how all powerful the Blue Lanterns were, it was really cool to see their weakness is the recent issue of GL. I have to say... VERY cool concept. I diggit.

Seb. Your anecdote from high school is killing me!

I really can't wait for the Agent Orange arc to start up. I really hope Hector Hammond shows up as an Orange Lantern. I have a fondness for ol' big-head, and have eagerly awaited his return. And Secret Origins certainly provided some heavy hints that Hammond had orange in his future...
