Due to moeny constraints, I stick only to the JSA themed comics- I read COIE and IC- but none of the comics that occoured right after IC (other than Justice Society and sometimes justice League)...
To get caught up, in addition to every issue of 52, what other title(s)do i need to read?
I'm behind the power curve, I'll admit that...
Thanks

To get caught up with the current affairs in the DC Universe?
52 #52
Crisis Aftermath: Battle for Bludhaven 1-6
Brave New World one-shot
Countdown to Final Crisis
52 was a great story, but not much in the way of major DC impact except for the last issue.

I haven't read more than two issues of the 52... sad thing is... I own them all.

Get the 52 trades. I don't think i would have appreciated it as much if i had spent a year reading one issue every week, but the trades were like an $80 dollar investment (but I bought them over time), and it was probably one of the better things DC has done. Way better than Countdown, probably because the writing situation was better... Johns, Waid, Rucka, and Morrsion (well and Keith Giffen, too!)-- no one else, save for editorial staff, had their hands in it... Those guys are probably the best contemporary superhero writers going, so thats saying a lot. There's a lot of great moments in there.
You might want to check out Identity Crisis, first though, because there's a lot to do with Ralph Dibny and his whole situation (in fact, there's still stuff in CD that ties back to I.D. Crisis).
Yep.
Sometimes, though, i think the whole concept of continuity becomes convoluted. You should be able to go to the store and pick up a copy of Joe Superhero and not have to know 20+ years of continuity and every crossover since 1986.... That's just one more factor keeping new fans out of the medium/genre.
By the way... 52 has some good Red Tornado bits to it, albeit very limited.
