Spoilers: Jsa #12

It's not that I mind the characters, I've read it a couple of times. Even had a "hey that's cool" moment when the last legacy was revealed...but they introduce a new character every month and none of them ever do anything. The book just seems to be taking forever to go anywhere. This issue? A dense read but nothing happened. They went out recruiting members. Again. Mr. Terrific showed up all beaten up again. Maxine was a wind tunnel again. Steel broke the floor again. Starman mumbled incoherantly again.

I'm all for a big cast but at least show them doing something, and make use of what you have before moving on to the next best thing. I felt Sand and Obsidian were getting the short straws in favour of Steel, Maxine and Starboy. Now I'd kill for more focus on Steel, Maxine and Starboy because they're already on the way to being shelved for Judomaster, Amazing Man and so on.

I'm just tired of putting an issue down and feeling like nothing substantial has happened.

This book has had some highlights here and there, but I feel what you're saying. I think there's a lot of character development going on, we'll have to see. This month they intro'd Gog or Magog or whoever, and the two Supermen teamed up, so that was kinda cool.

I was digging the whole Kingdom Come connection when i thought they were making it into a possible future, became less excited when it was revealed to be Earth-22. But now with Gog on... whatever the main earth is, it could be interesting to see how it all connects.

I keep getting this book... I've dropped JLA...
