DC has released the following two BATMAN teasers, one being the first page of Morrison & Quitely's BATMAN & ROBIN #2, and the other being....well...see for yourself...

I'd tell you to click for larger images, but you know the drill!

First one: "Master Richard...would you like a rub down?"

Second one: Batman : "Wow..you taste like Bruce"

I hate this. First of all, I hate (and I am well aware of how strong a word "hate" is) Dick as Batman. Throw this alien into the mix, and DC has just destroyed any chance they had of redeeming themselves. Ugh. Why her?

uh...because Starfire's freakin hot! not to mention they did date for like...a decade or so. they've got history and it makes sense. plus how can we get tension tween him and Babs without a third side to the triangle?

How can you hate the new Bat stuff?

Its awesome!

the first Batman and Robin issue was amazing dare I even say Red Robin. Time has really grown as a character. He is so much more interesting than he ever was.

Meh, the new bats stuff isn't as great as you guys seem to act. It's ok. I'm not that keen on Damien as Robin. I sorta like Red Robin, but I'm not thrilled that they have completely 180ed Tim's personality form hopeful to exactly-like-Bruce.

And, as for hating the Dick/Starfire thing, DC went out of their way to end that and distance Dick from her when they first brought the nightwing character back into Batman's inner circle, because BATMAN works best as a gritty, gorunded, no-powers, man vs. crazy villains thing, and having an Alien Princess for a girlfriend really takes away from that. As does a flying batmobile, which I REALLY don't like!

i don't think Tim is out of character at all. consider what has happened to the guy in the last...three years of actual time. his biological father was murdered by a supervillain during Identity Crisis. his best friend in the world gets whacked in the following crossover. he was then adopted by Bruce Wayne, and took the whole trip around the world. then this little punk Damian shows up cramping his style, and Bruce seems distant and unapproachable. not against type really, but probably not exactly what Tim was looking for from his adoptive father either. then Bruce DIES, and if that wasn't bad enough Jason Todd shows back up and when Dick Grayson won't take the cowl, he does. only instead of honoring Bruce's legacy, Jason tarnishes it and tries to turn the Batman into a killer. so Tim dons his own Batman suit and gets beaten half to death fighting Jason before Dick shows up, stuffs Jason back down the hole he crawled out of, and accepts the mantle he should have taken all along. but there's Damian for one thing, who needs some serious work, and Tim has GROWN too much to be Dick's Robin. since Jason isn't using the Red Robin suit anymore, it seems to me like a pretty natural progression. Tim's already seen that he'll eventually become the Batman. he has the skills for it, he's got the mind for it, he just needs time to grow some more. i'm continuously amazed at people who get upset when characters actually GROW due to the things that happen to them! Dick Grayson grew up. Jason Todd is irrevocably changed by his own time spent as Robin. why wouldn't Tim, in turn, be changed by his own time in the suit?

And, as for hating the Dick/Starfire thing, DC went out of their way to end that and distance Dick from her when they first brought the nightwing character back into Batman's inner circle, because BATMAN works best as a gritty, gorunded, no-powers, man vs. crazy villains thing, and having an Alien Princess for a girlfriend really takes away from that. but, that's Bruce's Batman. and he worked pretty good in company with the JLA and the Outsiders i might add. with Dick in the cowl you've kinda got to give him some room to move around don't you? i mean really. no one got mad when Wally changed Barry's costume to his own. no one got all butthurt when Kyle changed the entire costume to something more his own than what Hal was rocking. i say if Grayson wants to keep a smoking hot orange alien girlfriend around...let the man work! plus he's moved out of the cave completely. he's his own Batman.

Yeah, but they separated DICK from Cory to add to the whole Bat-mythos. Now, having him as Nightwing or Batman loses something if he's dating an Alien Warrior princess. You end up with them dating while Dick wears that stupid wig, sunglasses, and fake moustache disguise from THE NEW TITANS.

Bad bad memories.

And as for Tim, he has spent his entire career trying to NOT be Bruce. Even more so after he saw the dark future in which he WAS Batman and acted even more extreme than Bruce did. Now, all of the sudden he just gives into that?

And I know Bruce is a main character, and Mr. Drake was just "supporting cast" but the fact that Tim is reacting worse to Bruce's death than to his actual Dad's is a bit contrived, I think.

Besides, after all the "breaking Batma's spirit" stories that we've had to read over the past few years, they "kill" Bruce, and all they can think to give us is a Breaking TIM'S spirit story?

Really?

I think it makes kinda sense. Now that he has lots Bruce as well he no longer has any father figure left in his life

lol aww come on, you didn't like the bad 70s wig? heh. that was funny. you would think the prodigy of the master of disguise would have done better. but those were less dark times too, so you probably won't see the wig again. what i'm stoked to see is how all of Batman's "women" react to not only Dick in the cowl, but Kory hanging around. Selina will know instantly that's not Bruce. Ivy...she might get a bit miffed at some other differently colored hotty making time with Batman. sure she tries to kill him a lot, but i think she's got a thing for him. and there's a ton of other people out there who'll turn their heads at this development, Barbara Gordon chief among them. i'm still pulling for her to get her legs back and kick ass as Batgirl again.

now with Tim...sure he has tried to carve out his own thing, to at least some degree of success, but in the end he's an even more natural replacement for Bruce than Dick is. Tim's a better natural detective then Dick is. Dick has to work at it, Tim comes by it naturally. fighting wise i'd give Dick the edge, but Tim can easily get that good or better with time and training. Tim will never be the athlete that Dick is, but he'll easily be as good or even better as Batman. it's the fact that he doesn't want to be that grim and dark Batman that makes him the perfect guy to BE Batman, in time.

if we were all talking character progression, then Babs being Batgirl wouldn't fit, she would need a new identity to fight under. since I don't think it is gender specific, she could be the new Nightwing, might get dick's attention, and might sell a lot of comics too. as for Kory, come on Seb, she is hot, what more do you need? flying Batmobile is a natural progression of technological advancements too, I liked it.
