In a move similar to the JUSTICE LEAGUE of AMERICA and JUSTICE LEAGUE: CRY FOR JUSTICE, DC has announced that THE JSA will be having a split over their approach to how the deal with villains. Only in this case, the splinter group will have an ongoing series, JSA ALL STARS, rather than a mini.

After writers Bill Willingham and Mathew Sturges conclude their first story arc on JSA the two will split. Willingham will stay on JSA while Sturges moves on to helm JSA ALL STARS.

Based on the cover to JSA ALL STARS #1 the splinter team will include MAGOG (go figure), POWER GIRL, CITIZEN STEEL, HOUR MAN, HURRICANE, STAR GIRL, DAMAGE, JUDO-MASTER, WILD CAT II, and KING CHIMERA.

So basically it's the entire younger cast of the JSA... I really thought one of the older guys would lead them if they did that. It's been a while but I thought I remembered one of the older heroes siding with the younger ones during the whole Gog incident....

Well, they're going for the YOUNG ALL STARS (The ORIGINAL Infinity Inc.) angle, which was all the sidekicks and children of the original JSA back in the day.

I thought that JSA was a little too big to stay together. I like the split, it allows for more characters to get their stories across.
