Toronto (March, 2008)—This week, Septagon Studios releases the highly-anticipated and critically-acclaimed comic book SCORN.
SCORN was originally released as a black-and-white format comic in 2004. It became a convention hit that year, selling over 500 copies, from Wizard World Dallas to Wizard World Chicago. Reaching over 35 positive reviews from industry professionals and comic book related websites, garnering a Critical acclaim status before its release, and securing a foreign publishing agreement, SCORN was spotlighted by Diamond Comics and has had 23,000 views of its debut trailer.
The story portrays 19-year-old Michael Riggs, who witnesses the murder of his best friend at the hand of notorious gang leader Robert Torres. Michael becomes obsessed, and nothing can stop him on his vicious and bloody rampage of vigilante justice.

A great tale of non-stop action, Kevin Moyers injects every possible ounce of emotion to develop the characters. Many creators and websites alike have shown their interest and praise.
"Moyers writes what others would like to do by the victim’s friends or family who are left behind. The artwork by Philipp S. Neundorf is harrowing and displayed eloquently as seen by the characterizations in the panels. Scorn #1 is a quality title by the sensational creative team of Moyers and Neundorf, a book which deserves to be a hit on the indie scene in comic shops both in Canada and in the United States. 5.00 out of 5 Stars"
--Reviewed by John L. Daniels, Jr. of The Comic Critique
"The violence is tempered with character driven emotion and offers the reader an intriguing start for what could become a promising series from Septagon Studios."
--Scorn Issue One Reviewed by Chuck of Comic Related
"It washes over you like a troubled, sepia-colored dream. A very promising debut"
--Brian Holguin, (Writer, Spawn: Godslayer)
Series creator/writer Kevin Moyers has teamed with artist Philipp Neundorf, artist of Runes of Ragnan, back up story to Odin.
"Neundorf combines subtle abstract patterns with noirish angles to heavily coat the script in a gritty, chaotic atmosphere; a territory somewhere between Templesmith, McKean, and J. O’Barr. This is how the comic book format should be utilized more often. This kind of ingenuity is what a cutting edge medium like comics should be all about."
--Dan Schaffer (Creator Dogwitch, Indigo Vertigo and Scribbler)
"Reminiscent of Ashley Wood and Ben Templesmith . . . those like me who like moody, imaginative, and painterly styles will want to seek this one out."
