Publisher: Devil's Due Publishing (http://devilsdue.net/)
Writer: Mark Powers
Pencils & Inks: Chris Lie & Joseph Baker
27 pages, Color
$3.50
Publishers Blurb:
Millions have been drafted into the World Army. Families have been torn asunder; communities shattered. With mankind in the grip of fear, the spiritual leaders known as the Sons of Abraham have risen to prominence, preaching brotherhood and hope. But not everyone shares their vision of a united humanity…
Reviewer Comments:
This story takes the standard alien invasion fare and spreads some lavish helpings of human interest and angst to create a complex diarama, this comic is more about the human reaction to a crisis than about Aliens invading. Powers takes such complex ideas like survivors guilt, loss, pain and insecurity to craft a wonderful, suspenseful story. You can read this book and feel as though you are capable of doing some of the things that are done, horrible though they are.
I like it.
