Journey back to a time when magic still thrived, dragons and fallen gods roamed the earth, and man was just a myth. The Garden of Eden was a place of perfect peace and tranquility. That is, until its keeper, Adam, went missing. Now, his newly created wife, Eve, must venture outside the safety of the Garden for the first time to go in search of her husband, all the while battling monsters, beast men, wizards, demons, and even the gods themselves. It's the fun and adventure of Samurai Jack mixed with the epic scope of Lord of the Rings.
Reviewer Comments:
For some reason I was under the impression that this was a four issue mini. Now that I look at the Viper Comics site, I see that it's actually an ongoing series, which is cool with me, but I was expecting the story to come to a conclusion in this issue. I was a little let down when I didn't see what I was expecting to see at the end of the issue, but hey, at least this way we get more of the title. Anyway, it was still a good read and we find more out about Adam's past and who exactly Melchizedek is (who was introduced in the previous issue). There's also a taste of the origins of Vampires thrown in the mix that makes you think, is there nothing Howard can't fit into this book? I'm looking forward to seing more work from Howard and Viper Comics... I smell a winning team here.
On another sidenote... The Lost Books of Eve have finally gotten my wife to see the error of her comic book hating ways. She sat down and read the first issue and couldn't stop until she'd read them all. Don't worry Josh, I won't let her give away any spoilers on myspace and take comfort in the fact that you've converted a hater!
