This is a five page script I wrote a couple of months back. I never got any solid feedback on it at the time, so I thought I'd post it here :)
Night Drive
PAGE 1 (five panels)
Panel 1. View overlooking a small city at night, from the top of a lookout point. There is a full moon lighting the scene and the front of a car pulled up at the lookout can be seen, headlights off. It's a classic 50's car, like Happy Days I guess.
CAP: Two young lovers on a night drive, alone under a full moon, overlooking the sleepy city below.
Panel 2. Shot of the two lovers, a boy and a girl, sitting in the front seat (a bench seat, no gap between them). They are dressed in appropriate 50's clothes, the girl in a nice dress, the boy (looking like Potsy from Happy Days) is in the driver's seat. The boy is turned towards the girl, though she is looking straight forward with her arms crossed, looking anxious.
BOY:
Are you cold, I can turn the heater on, the car is running.
Panel 3. Over the shoulder, pulled back a bit to show the boy's mouth, the boy turning the heat up. He is smiling at the girl, nothing sinister, the dashboard should show a full tank of gas.
GIRL (OP):
We wont run out of gas will we?
BOY:
No, we've got a full tank...
Panel 4. Close up of the boy's hand placed gently on the girl's knee.
BOY (OP):
...and all the time in the world.
Panel 5. A pair of intense yellow eyes, surrounded by dark fur.
PAGE 2 (five panels)
Panel 1. The girl has turned away from the boy's advances and is looking out the window, the boy looks a little dejected.
GIRL:
Uhh, look at the night sky, it's almost perfect.
Panel 2. The boy has moved closer to the girl, he is gazing at the girl who has now turned her head back towards the boy. She is still looking anxious.
BOY:
Almost? When I'm with you, it's perfect.
GIRL:
I know, but...
Panel 3. Closer shot on the girl, the boy's hand can be seen stroking the girls cheek. She is talking sheepishly, a little embarrassed.
BOY (OP):
What's the matter?
GIRL:
I'm just worried. What if someone catches us up here, doing... you know?
Panel 4. Close up of the girl's face, eyes wide with worry as she expresses her concerns to the boy.
GIRL:
We'll get in big trouble
Panel 5. A werewolf''s face with the same yellow eyes as earlier, his teeth snarling and dripping with saliva.
PAGE 3 (five panels)
Panel 1. Shot of the two again, the boy is now grinning fondly at the girl, she is still a little worried.
BOY:
Heh heh, don't worry. There isn't another soul for miles,
Panel 2. The girl's face in the foreground, she is looking down. Behind her we see dark woodlands out the passenger window.
GIRL:
You know, my dad used to tell me stories of monsters in these woods.
BOY:
Hey, those are just old ghost stories.
Panel 3. Shot of the girl, smiling and looking more relaxed. She is looking up at the boy now and she smiles.
GIRL:
I know, I guess I just get spooked easy.
Panel 4. Close up of the young lover's hands, one from each, fingers intertwined. They are resting between them on the car seat.
BOY (OP):
Here, hold my hand. You're safe with me baby.
Panel 5. Shot of the werewolf entire top half, his is upright and has a huge muscular body, all covered in dark fur. His face still with the same snarl and piercing yellow eyes. He should look menacing and ready to attack, as intimidating as possible.
PAGE 4 (five panels)
Panel 1. Shot of the two now with both pairs of hands held together in front of them as they talk to each other, serious looks on their faces.
BOY:
So if you aren't ready for this, then we can wait.
GIRL:
No, it's OK, I am ready. We're ready.
Panel 2. Same as previous panel but they are now both smiling and very happy.
GIRL:
I love you, I want to show you that.
BOY:
I love you too.
Panel 3. Close up of the girl's lips.
GIRL:
Kiss me.
Panel 4. From behind the two, as if looking from the back seat. We only see the heads and shoulders above the seat. The boy is cupping the girl's face with his hands. The girl, with her closest hand, is holding the boy's wrist, with the other hand she is stroking his hair. They are looking lovingly into each other's eyes.
Panel 5. The werewolf from earlier, same menacing pose, same snarl, same yellow eyes. The shot is pulled back further than the last (werewolf panel) to reveal the werewolf is printed on the top half of a comic book. Above the werewolf in bold font is printed "HORROR STORIES MONTHLY".
PAGE 5 (three panels)
Panel 1. From just before the rear window, looking now from behind the young lovers. Their faces are close together now, eyes closed and lips ready to kiss. The "Horror Stories Monthly" comic is tucked inside a pocket on the back of the bench seat, the top half of it peaking out.
Panel 2. Pull out now just beyond the rear window so that we are looking through it, the panel doesn't extend beyond the frame of the window. We see a single silhouette of the young lovers, as they kiss and press against each other. The rear window should be a little fogged up.
CAP:
...with you, it's perfect...
Panel 3. Final panel, pulled out further behind the car, now showing the entire vehicle. There is a hose coming from the car's exhaust, with the other end jammed into the rear passenger-side window. The window is foggier and the car is filling with fumes. The silhouette of the pair, still kissing, is now much fainter.
