Publishers Blurb:
It's all hit the fan. Roz has learned that Jack has been wearing the Hero ring behind her back, while Jack easily had the snot beat out of him by Saul Simian. But Simian's not done. His bosses want him to go back and finish the job by killing Jack and taking the ring. How can Jack possibly beat Simian once he really means business? The answer may be hidden in the Hero's old journals.
Reviewer Comments:
If you've been missing out on Hero By Night, its time to get on board! Not only is this book easy to get up and get into, but if you find you like it, its not a huge investment to get caught up (everything up to the current issue is available to read for free on DrunkDuck.com, I also believe many issues are available on Wowio.com as well). Shouldn't all comics be that easy to get into?
Okay, third issue out on the regular series, and like the publishers blurb has said, the feces has made contact with the fan. As some questions are resolved, more surface, an this book climaxes with a clever showdown between Jack and Saul Simian (who turns out to be quite a complex character).
The appeal of this book is really its ability to be very fun in a cartoony way, without dumbing anything down. A lot of times books seem like they have to go one way or the other, but this book really covers the ground in between fun and truly engaging characterization. I cannot recommend this book enough, and am looking forward to how HBN develops.
