Reviewer Comments:
I debated on whether to read the first five issues of this mini to get up to speed on what was going on in the story, but fortunately for me there was a recap at the beginning of this issue. Having said this... that was probably it's most redeeming quality.

For one, the art just wasn't doing it for me. I like clear, smooth flowing art in my books and this was more of a grainy type of print that just looked substandard. I mean, the speech bubbles and lettering looked better than the actual art behind them for cryin' out loud.

The story that DiGilio created left me feeling indifferent at best. The plot didn't seem to be anything spectacular.... in fact if you've ever seen the 1979 Mad Max movie with Mel Gibson, then you've pretty much got the situation of the world in this story. Swap the desert with snow and bam, you've got North Wind. Granted, they stayed warm in Mad Max and in North Wind they were freezing to death in an ice age but, meh.

So anyway, I won't ruin the end for you but to me it seemed like a certain someone died for no reason other than to kill somebody else who was going to die anyway. Seemed to emotionally dramatic to me, sorry... just not diggin' this one.
