Title: Official Overstreet Comic Book Price Official Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide
Publisher Name: Gemstone Publishing ( http://www.gemstonepub.com )
Writer: Robert M. Overstreet
Art: N/A
$29.95, pages, Color
Safety Content Label: T+ TEENS AND UP - Appropriate for most readers 13 and up, parents are advised that they might want to read before or with younger children.
Publishers Blurb:
The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide is back with its 38th edition and it is packed with all sorts of details from the world of comics, including feature articles on the fabled DC ashcan comics, the Gaines file copies and the history of Star Wars in comics. The Guide remains the most complete listing of comics from the 1500s to the present, and this years edition features a choice of covers: Marvel Villains by Mark Sparacio (Heroes for Hire, Shi) and Star Wars by Doug Wheatley (Star Wars: Empire, Superman: Last Son of Earth).
Reviewer Comments:
While I will be the first to admit that Guide is PACKED full of advertisements, I must say that the articles, and listings are highly resourced and researched. It is clearly the number one definitive source when it comes to collecting comic books. Prices for comics may fluctuate above and below Guide listings, but Guide seems to have pricing comics down to as much of a science as anyone thought possible.
If you collect comics for the stories, the art and especially the fair market value, this is one book you'll want to shell out the thirty bucks for.
I listed this as a publication for readers age 13 and up, not because of anything I don't think you'll want your children to see but simply because anyone younger than that may have trouble following the book.
