I don't think DVS has ever read a Solar book. He just comes in and says "Solar is a puss" in these threads without backing it up.

Thanos can't die, but neither can Solar. Solar is pure energy with the ability to manipulate the very fabric of reality. He's literally a god. Thanos wields unimaginable mystic energy backed by one of the finest scientific minds in the Marvel Universe.

They'd fight, end up irritating eachother, then getting bored and going their separate ways with the standard "this isn't over...we'll meet again" conversation.
