Title: IRREDEEMABLE # 10
Rating: ![]() Publisher Website: BOOM! Studios Writer: Mark Waid Pencils: Peter Krause & Diego Barreto Inks: Colors: Andrew Dalhouse Number of pages: 24 Price: 3.99 Color: Color Safety Content Label: T+ TEENS AND UP - Appropriate for most readers 13 and up, parents are advised that they might want to read before or with younger children. Publishers Blurb: COVER A: Paul Azaceta COVER B: Dan Panosian Diamond Code: NOV090679 Preview Pack: Covers + First 5 pages Revealed at last–the secrets behind the Bette/Gilgamos/Plutonian triangle as we learn just what brought Gilgamos to the Paradigm team originally–and why he may never trust any one of his former friends ever again! An apocalyptic superhero ongoing by the author of multiple Eisner Award-winning KINGDOM COME and EMPIRE! Reviewer Comments: Another brilliant issue, that gives us as many new questions as it does answers. Waid keeps the intrigue building as we learn a bit more about Tony, and about Bette...and about Bette and Tony. Waid shows a more "Law & Order" look at what happens to super-powered children in foster care. They can't ALL get adopted by the Kents. We also see Gilgamos, possibly the only traditionally "heroic" member of the Paradigm, try to hold back the latest horror unleashed on the already beleaguered Earth. And Chaybdis...or SURVIVOR, as he calls himself now, proves unlucky at love and loses his brother Scylla...AGAIN! Peter Krause gets some help with the art chores from Diego Barreto on this issue, with Barreto handling the Bette/Gil stoy, and Krause covering the Survivor and Plutonian scenes. Both do bang-up jobs. And the Dan Panosian art for cover B is simply gorgeous. One of the most thought provoking super-hero books, IRREDEEMABLE promises to keep the drama going into 2010. |
